Here are some local stores that sell English pocket books:

Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble are among those located on the internet who offer affordable and secure online-purchasing.

If you want to learn more about Swedish people, there are several books on the subject. Here are just a couple:

  • Swedes as Others See Them by Jean Phillip Martinsson. A light-hearted look at Swedish traits that cause confusion or frustration among foreigners based on interviews with people from around the world.
  • The Swedish Mentality by Åke Daum. Daum is an ethnologist at Stockholm University. Through extensive research, he considers different aspects of "Swedishness": shyness, lack of religion, the suicide myth, sexual freedom, etc.
